Aloe wins FT/IFC Award for Sustainable Asset Manager of the Year
Aloe received the prize for
Sustainable Asset Manager of the Year
at the FT/IFC Sustainable Finance Awards, which were announced on June
16, 2011 at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in London.
These major global awards for environmentally and socially responsible
banking and investment attracted a record 187 entries from 161
institutions in 61 countries this year. The Sustainable Asset Manager of
the Year award highlights ground-breaking achievement in the area of
sustainable fund management, recognising the management firm that has
shown innovation or leadership in integrating environmental, social and
governance factors into its investment philosophy and approach. This
award recognises all forms of social and environmental investment, and
is open to all asset managers (including private and public equity
participants) across all asset classes.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner in London attended by nearly
200 senior decision-makers in finance and sustainability. The event
followed a one-day Sustainable Finance Conference organized by the
Financial Times and IFC.
