EnvironCom opens new recycling plant

After a fire in 2007 Environcom opened a new, larger and improved recycling plant  for electrical and electronic waste (WEEE).  It is one of the largest dedicated WEEE recycling centres in Europe with a capacity to treat over 100,000 tonnes per year.  The new site, completed with financial support from Aloe Private Equity, has state of the art processing equipment for fridges, large and small electrical appliances and CRTs.  It produces high quality outputs such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics and glass which are traded in the international commodity markets.  It is compliant with all environmental, health and safety regulations and provides employment to over 100 local employees.  The UK's largest electrical and electronic goods retailer, DSG International, signed a rolling five year supply agreement with EnvironCom to exclusively supply it with all its WEEE.

Aloe continues to work closely with the management team to identify and pursue additional growth opportunities.
